Bordering On Insanity

Let's take a quick look at current events in regard to our troubled southern border...

Law enforcement officials in border counties are finding irrefutable evidence of border crossings by Muslim terrorists. It appears that the terrorists enter Mexico, learn to speak Spanish, and then use the same crossing methods used by other illegal aliens to sneak into America. It is believed that much of this is done with the assistance of Mexican drug cartels and elements of the Mexican military.

Operation Predator is a part of Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE). The purpose of Operation Predator is to arrest those suspected of sex crimes, mainly against children. Over 8,000 arrests have been made since March of 2003, and 85% of those arrested are foreign nationals. Forty percent those foreign nationals were here illegally.

In March of 2005, ICE arrested 103 members of the violent Mexican gang "MS-13" in a nationwide sweep....

Immigration, both legal and illegal, represents the dominant factor in U.S. population growth... Immigration has become the determinate factor in population growth. The arrival of 1.5 million immigrants each year, coupled with 750,000 births to immigrant women annually, means that immigration policy is adding over two million people to the U.S. population each year, accounting for at least two-thirds of U.S. population growth. (Center for Immigration Studies - 2002)

Most illegal aliens regard the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act of 1985 as a free pass for health care. This law requires that hospital emergency rooms provide needed care regardless of the patient's ability to pay. According to the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons, 84 California hospitals have closed due largely to uncollected revenue from illegal aliens. The J.A.P.S. estimates that illegal aliens represent at least 25% of America's uninsured.

And if that isn't sufficiently frightening, consider this info-bit, also from the J.A.P.S.

Many illegals who cross our borders have tuberculosis. That disease had largely disappeared from America, thanks to excellent hygiene and powerful modern drugs such as isoniazid and rifampin. TB's swift, deadly return now is lethal for about 60 percent of those infected because of new Multi-Drug Resistant Tuberculosis (MDRTB). (Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons)...

...The National Research Council estimates that the annual net cost to the American taxpayer of illegal immigration could be as high as 22 billion dollars....

If George W. Bush gets his way, the border between Mexico and the United States will be as meaningless as a United Nations resolution. The Bush Administration is actively seeking to open the borders between the U.S. and Mexico as part of his absurd plan to create a "North American Union." Attaboy George. Disease, sexual predators, vicious gangs, Muslim terrorists, and millions of people who've never paid a dime in taxes sucking on the teat of the welfare system.

I for one am sick and tired of all this New World Order nonsense. I've had enough of multi-culturalism. I'm up to my neck in diversity. And I'm fresh out of tolerance. We need to close the border with Mexico. We don't need illegals driving our wages down and bankrupting our hospitals. We don't need their crime, their diseases, or the burden they place on our welfare system.

Am I a racist? Nope. All I'm asking is for some sanity in the process. As long as our border remains wide open, it won't matter how hard the Border Patrol works to control the flow of illegals. It won't matter how many new laws we pass. We have laws on the books now to arrest and deport illegal immigrants. We have laws to catch and punish those who knowingly hire illegals.

Enforce the laws. Close the border. Build the wall. The clock is ticking on our future as a nation.
